Kelsey Parker has said her late husband Tom was scared of dying and that he sent her a sign after he died to let her know it wasn’t as bad as he’d feared.

The Wanted singer died in March last year at the age of 33, after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

Opening up on ITV’s Loose Women, Kelsey said she wasn’t a spiritual person before his death.

But she said things changed because just after he passed away she went downstairs at the hospice and a feather floated down to her.

“Literally a feather dropped from the sky,” she said.

“There was nothing around me, there were no trees and a feather dropped from the sky.

“That gave me peace of mind.

“For Tom to tell me, ‘I’m OK Kels, it wasn’t as bad as what I thought it was going to be.’

“And that gave me comfort.”

Kelsey – who has two young children with the late star – went on: “He was so worried about dying.

"He had this fear of dying even before he had cancer, he was always so scared.

“I feel like he sent me the sign to go, ‘It wasn’t that bad’.”

Kelsey has just been camping with the couple’s two children, daughter Aurelia, four, and son Bodhi, two, who Kelsey was pregnant with when Tom was diagnosed with stage-four glioblastoma in 2020.

She told the Loose Women panellists: “Even at the campsite there’s feathers everywhere and the kids pick them up and go, ‘Look daddy is with us.’

“It gives us comfort.”
