Yahoo News Kenan Thompson hasn't seen “Good Burger 2” because he wants to 'watch it raw'
Though, Thompson says he will be fully clothed when he sees it.
"Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger," is not a line Kenan Thompson has yet heard in his return to the titular burger chain in Good Burger 2. The SNL actor told Today that he hasn't seen the movie yet because he wants to "watch it raw."
He's not talking about watching the movie in naught but slippers. He means he wants the chance to watch it as a fan, on a big screen. "I wanted a genuine experience," he said. "That way, I can know if people are telling me the truth, if they liked it or not or they're just saying it."
Thompson and Good Burger partner Kel Mitchell also teased some of the cameos that will pop up throughout the movie, including Rob Gronkowski, Lil Rel Howery, and Today's Al Roker, as well as original cast members like Josh Server and Lori Beth Denberg. The cast also includes appearances from celebrities like Carmen Electra, Mark Cuban, and Nicole Byer.
Additionally, Mitchell, who recently had a health scare that landed him in the emergency room, was asked how he's doing as he prepares for the premiere this week. "I'm feeling good," Mitchell told Roker. "I'm feeling healthy. I'm all good."
It's been 26 years since the original film, a spinoff of Nickelodeon's All That, hit the big screen. Good Burger 2 will be released on Paramount+ on November 22.
