Kerry Katona has defended her daughter Lilly-Sue's decision to use weight loss shakes, saying that the 16-year-old "feels great" now.
Lilly posted about her weight loss on Instagram and her mum Kerry has since found herself on the receiving end of some backlash as people criticised her for letting the 16-year-old use the product.
In response to the criticism, Kerry has now defended Lilly's use of weight loss shakes in her new! magazine column, explaining that it has helped her daughter "feel better" with herself.
"As you may have seen on Instagram, my Lilly has lost weight after using Herbalife," she wrote (via OK! Magazine).
"She's done so well and she looks amazing. I don't know exactly how much she's lost because we don't have scales in the house.
"I know it's controversial, but I think the Herbalife protein shakes are actually good for you. Lilly ate so much crap during her GCSEs and she wanted to feel better, so I told her to try the shakes along with eating healthy meals. She feels great now."
In the Instagram post, Lilly shared a before and after picture of her weight loss, writing that the shakes were being used alongside a healthier diet and her becoming more active.
"Thanks to my mum and Frankie encouraging me to have a healthier breakfast rather than my usual cereal toast or cup of tea with sugar ! This will be perfect going back to college too in September," she added.
Meanwhile, earlier this year Kerry suffered a dating disaster on Celebs Go Dating, after her date insulted her in pretty much every way possible.
