Kerry Katona defends OnlyFans and says it makes her feel 'empowered'

Kerry Katona has defended OnlyFans, saying it makes her feel “empowered”.

The former Atomic Kitten star – who has five children - is a huge favourite on the adults-only platform, and has previously said it made her a millionaire again after former money troubles.

She spoke out during an appearance on Jeremy Kyle's TalkTV show, amid a discussion about how an OnlyFans model put a billboard promoting her content not far from a school.

“I'm a woman, I feel empowered by this,” the star said of OnlyFans.

“I see more nudity on the beach when I go away with my children. Should I stop taking my children to the beach?”

Katona, 42, said the problem was “the stigma" that she said goes along with the platform.

“OnlyFans is not just explicit content,” she said.

“I can go on OnlyFans and subscribe to a fitness regime or a makeup tutorial.

“It’s not just about that.”

“Yes there's explicit stuff on there, yes I do that myself," she went on.

"My children are aware of it. They're a lot older, they understand it.”

The star, who has previously been declared bankrupt twice, told the Mirror in 2021 that she could actually make thousands of pounds every month on the site.

Defending her decision to sign up, she said: "People are quick to say, ‘she’s desperate’ if I get out a bit of nipple, but I’ve made my first million since bankruptcy and I’m so, so proud.

“If it wasn’t for OnlyFans I wouldn’t have had money to invest in myself and in making more companies."
