Kerry Katona Is Filing For Divorce From George Kay

A rep for Kerry Katona has confirmed that the star IS filing for divorce from George Kay.

The couple split last year after George allegedly assaulted the Atomic Kitten star.

A rep for 35-year-old Kerry said: “She’s filing for divorce. Kerry has hired a divorce lawyer and she has taken rings off. It’s a state of mind.”

Back in November, the star appeared on Loose Women, where she discussed her split from George.

An emotional Kerry explained: “I’m still wearing my wedding ring – have you not seen how beautiful it is? I’ve got to keep at least one of my rings!

“I’m not ready to take it off yet. I’m just not ready. As I say I’m still madly in love with him. I love George to bits. I’m still madly in love with him, but sometimes things have got to come to an end and that’s that.”

Yesterday, reports claimed Kerry had welcomed George, who is set to stand trial for alleged assault and possession of a taser, back into the family home, despite it breaching the terms of his bail conditions.

A source told The Sun: “George was at Kerry’s house even though it could potentially be against the terms of his bail.

“Locals even spotted him taking the dog for a walk and he only left to go home because he was due in court. He would have liked to stay longer.

“It’s surprising behaviour from both of them but especially George. He’s back at the scene of the apparent crime.”

His bail terms prevent him from having any contact with Kerry without a third party present.
