Key RICS honours go to two notable Southampton projects

Two Southampton buildings have been recognised with RICS awards.

St Mark's Church of England School and Empress Heights Fire Safety Remediation were among the top honours of the prestigious RICS Awards 2024 in the South East, announced at the regional ceremony in RICS London.

They clinched the Community Benefit Project and Refurbishment/Revitalisation Project categories respectively.

The RICS Awards honour inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction and infrastructure sectors, recognising outstanding achievements, teamwork and companies.

Henry Russell, chairman of the South East RICS Awards judging panel, showed appreciation for all the effort that made these exemplary projects successful.

He said: "These winning projects are a true testament to the hard work and dedication of industry professionals in the South East."

He further praised the unique talent and collaborative approaches of the teams, saying that they have "resulted in exemplary and innovative schemes that really do represent the very best built projects across the South East."

The Southampton winners have now been shortlisted for the upcoming grand final on October 4 at The Park Plaza Riverbank, London.

They'll compete against other regional winners in their respective categories and one of the projects will win the prestigious ‘Project of the Year’ title.
