Khaleesi: Jay Z Bought Dragon Egg For Beyonce

Rapper Jay Z has reportedly bought one of the Game of Thrones dragons' eggs as a gift for Beyonce.

Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the hit fantasy drama, revealed she tried to "blag" one of the eggs from the set.

But despite the eggs belonging to her character, also known as Khaleesi, the British actress said she failed to claim any as a souvenir.

"They are really, really, really expensive and they are really f****** heavy and serious works of art," she told Harper's Bazaar.

"Apparently Jay Z bought one for Beyonce, or something. I don't know."

The 28-year-old also spoke of the moment she learned she had won a role in the series.

"I was literally so over the moon to have an audition, just an audition, let alone for HBO," she said.

"I was doing a million jobs and thinking it would never happen. Not a chance. Not. A. Chance."

If true, the dragon's egg would not be the first extravagant gift the hip hop star has given to his wife.

He published a specially made video on his YouTube page for her 33rd birthday in 2014, featuring footage of her performing and rehearsing for shows set to music.
