Keeping Up With The Kardashians was revealed yesterday to be coming to an end after 14 years of family drama, tears and tensions, with the famous Kardashian / Jenner family confirming that their long-running E! reality show will air for the final time in 2021.

Broken-hearted fans started sharing their favourite moments and memes from the show in its honour and it seems that one response to the news in particular caught the attention of one of the show's stars.

Khloe Kardashian happened upon a post by Instagram parody account Nori's Black Book, which features a brilliant fake statement about the show's ending from the perspective of Khloe's niece North West.

"After 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes, a number of spin-offs that included an ill-advised season of Rob & Chyna, and Scott's show where he pretended to flip houses that is clearly not getting renewed," the statement reads.

"We are grateful to all of you who have watched us through all these years – the happiness, the tears, the secret pregnancies, the marriages, the divorces, the co-parenting, Kris' failed talk show. We'll forever cherish the memories and the countless people we have kicked out of our circle along the way."

The statement goes on to thank producer Ryan Seacrest "for believing in us and dragging this thing out for 20 seasons when season 10 probably should've been the end" and network E! "for not having any other programming for the last 14 years".

'North' also teases a fake spoiler for the show's final season, writing that "Scott and Mason will be fighting over Addison Rae".

The statement ends with "Without me, Keeping Up With The Kardashians wouldn't be where it is today and the family will be forever in my debt. With love, gratitude and the feeling that this is all Auntie Kourt's fault, North."

Khloe commented on the post with several crying laughing emojis and wrote "Best post yet", showing that she isn't afraid to laugh at the situation.

The real statement, which was signed by Khloe, Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Scott Disick, was somewhat more serious.

"It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians," it said. "After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and several spin-off shows, we've decided as a family to end this very special journey."

E! released another statement saying that it has been "an absolute privilege" working with the family, adding, "We respect the family's decision to live their lives without our cameras".

There is still some Kardashian action to come though, as the next season will launch on September 17 with one final season airing in 2021.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs on E! in the US, and you can watch on E! UK and hayu in the UK.
