‘It’s all kicking off’: Good Morning Britain stops dramatically mid-show as crew member knocks into camera

Good Morning Britain was forced to stop mid-show as a crew member knocked into the camera.

Chaotic loud bangs from behind-the-scenes distracted the three ITV presenters halfway through a segment on Friday morning's show.

Host Kate Garraway made light of the situation, revealing that someone backstage had “smashed” into the equipment, causing “chaos” on air.

The 50-year-old said: “It's all kicking off over there. That's not something that's going to last forever, that camera. They've smashed into it.”

Co-host Charlotte Hawkins joked that she was more concerned about the “kit”.

She said: ”That's a bit of kit. I'm not sure that's going to last. Chaos in the studio.”

Shortly after, Garraway dismissed the tumble with “never mind, never mind” as she proceeded to carry on the show as usual.

During the show weatherman Alex Beresford made a big reveal about his appearance on Dancing On ice.

Beresford’s partner Brianne Delcourt pulled out of rehearsals after coming down with a bug.

The cast this year has been struggling with illness throughout the series, with Delcourt being the latest star to get the flu.

TV presenter Beresford admitted he had “no idea” what he is going to do about Sunday’s live show without his figure-skating partner.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV
