Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has made it clear he has no intention of leaving Leicester City this summer.

The midfielder, 25, has been a feature in City 's squad since 2020. This campaign was his strongest to date as he commanded Enzo Maresca's midfield to aid achieving promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

In fact, his performances stood out so much he has been voted the club's Player of the Season with 12 goals and 15 assists. Speaking at the ceremony, he said: "I’ve been at this club since I was 8 years old… I’ve got no intention of leaving."

Certainly this is a welcome statement for Foxes far and wide as the player has resisted transfer speculation in the past, and will no doubt have to do so again. Last summer it was Liverpool, in January it was Brighton and this summer it could be Manchester United, claim The Mirror.

But even with his desire to stay at the King Power Stadium on public record, the club's financial situation may force them to part ways.

Last season City made losses of £89.7m and have already been charged by the Premier League for breaches of their Profit and Sustainability rules (PSR).

At least for now, no one at the club is thinking of this as they revel in their Championship title success. Dewsbury-Hall - who has three years remaining on his contract - was particularly jovial in Monday night's celebrations at Deepdale as he issued a statement of intent to next season's opponents.

"We've been waiting for this moment all season," he told Sky Sports. "The fans deserve this moment, its a long season and they have been there home and away.

"The Championship is the toughest league in the world. I am going back to the Premier League a better player. The goal going into the season was to lift the trophy at the end of it."
