Leicester City have a habit of selling their better players to Chelsea, or at least players that the Stamford Bridge hierarchy believe to be decent.

As Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall settles into life at the Bridge after his £30m move from the King Power Stadium, he might do well to reflect on the success - or otherwise - of previous Leicester City midfielders to make the move.

On the one hand you have N’Golo Kante, the marauding enforcer of the Foxes' title-winning team who moved on weeks after the Premier League crown had been claimed - and then won it again a year later with the London Blues.

Then there is Danny Drinkwater, another midfielder who followed Kante to West London, but with a less successful outcome. In fact, it is fair to say that Drinkwater was never the same player again.

We posed the question, will KDH be the new Danny Drinkwater at Chelsea or N'Golo Kante reborn? in confirming his exit from Leicester on Tuesday, and Foxes fans responded in their droves.

That said, not one of them cared to compare Dewsbury-Hall to his title-winning Leicester predecessors, instead preferring to wish him well, lambast the City hierarchy for selling him, criticise the Premier League for their baffling PSR rules or comment on the style of play Chelsea are likely to witness under the Foxes’ promotion-winning manager Enzo Maresca - while commiserating with KDH on his chances in London once the Italian is sacked.

Here is what some of them had to say in response to our story…

Mattfox7777: Kiernan is a hard worker and has a good head on his shoulders. He is going to be fine and very rich. He’s made a super move, as has Maresca. The fact is the grass is indeed greener, whereas the grass at Leicester is presently looking far from green. Both clubs show scant respect for rules and both have to change, but Chelsea are a far bigger club and have the resources to ride it out, whereas Leicester don’t.

Sploggon: Don't want to read anymore about KDH. What has happened is old news now. We all have our opinion about it, but now is the time to look into the future. It seems that now we have a manager who will not be involved too much in the signings and departures. Good Luck to him - cos he's gonna need plenty.

Superfox19: It’s hard to understand anyone loving Maresca’s joyless football but good luck to KDH. If Maresca gets the sack he may find himself warming the bench.

Kev Coley: We all feel like a new player as well.

Molly moo: Grass greener on the other side and all that. Now that we have Cooper and the Welsh connection, will he be playing Danny Ward?

Fez64nit: Enzo will be gone by Xmas, then where will KDH stand? Out of the frying pan into the fire…

Jaypee16: ‘As a kid born in Leicester, who grew up in Leicester watching Leicester play as often as I could there was only one team I wanted to play for, LEICESTER’. I guess when you get to play at the level KDH has achieved getting paid megabucks, you’re going to say what the fans of the club you’re playing for want to hear. Money talks.

Highlanderfox: If we’d had more time we could have probably pushed for £35 million. As it is, Leicester valued him at £30 million and there wasn’t time to haggle. It’s not a bad result for the club under the circumstances and it is a stunningly good result for Kiernan. The good thing is there won’t be more departures because we have no players a top club could want.

We will probably go down but we could then go back up again quickly. Top must then do the right thing or the next time it could be a decade in the wilderness. Far better to follow the rules clubs voted for and which most others comply with. Then if we do have a future valuable player we can hold out for the maximum fee.

Slyasafox: This will be a good fit for KDH. He knows and likes the system he will be playing in and he has a manager who believes in him. Best of luck. I look forward to LCFC beating you, and I expect you will be welcomed to the KP when you play there as an away player.

Ridge007: Good luck lad, all the best! When is the club going to make a statement? Where is the plan?

Cayless92: I am going to miss KDH. He was one of the constants in the team last season. Now he's gone to greener pastures, I wish him the best luck. But why is it always Chelsea? Chelsea reminds me of a buzzard flying in circles over the KP Stadium waiting to see who they can pick off at the end of each season.

Itsagoal: Aged 25, He deserves his big money move to a team that can challenge for trophies. He's worked hard for the team and helped Leicester get out of the Championship.. Now it's his turn to benefit from his efforts.. Well done, KDH. Can't wait to see you develop even more.

2foxesinyorkshire: Probably the best thing for him to do, carry on playing insomniac football with Mr Boring. I hope we’ll be playing a more positive game next season that the fans will enjoy.

Paularizona: Chelsea buying everything that moves and we have to sell. Please explain how FFP helps anyone but the rich teams?

Hathernfox: Wish him the greatest luck. Cracking lad who never let us down. Fell on his sword for the club to stop extra points being deducted, and remember - he’s one of our own.

Citybear: I wish him all the best - not sure he had too much choice.

Director9: Can’t see the Chelsea players taking to Enzoball... or the fans.
