2019 is going to be a great year for a load of different reasons. One of the most important ones, though? The return of the wickedly dark Killing Eve.

So, now that filming for the BBC drama has officially restarted, we're going to celebrate by sharing an intriguing behind-the-scenes look at season two.

In terms of plot, we're still none the wiser, but this latest on-set photo does show us that Sandra Oh's Eve and Jodie Comer's Villanelle will be together again.

Whether that's as friends, lovers, partners-in-crime, adversaries, or all of the above is anyone's guess, mind.

After the huge success of season one, Jodie Comer has been revealing her own theories for the dramedy's second run – and what the dynamic between MI5 agent Eve and the unsettlingly likeable assassin Villanelle will be.

"Me and Sandra – we're always expected to have the answer, but we're still trying to figure it out," she explained. "There is sexual chemistry and there is also platonic admiration and fascination."

Promising that season two will be "open to all possibilities", Jodie added that Eve and Villanelle will definitely "meet again". (And again. And again.)

"The bottom line is they will meet again," she said. "They're always going to be chasing each other's tails. It's just when that meeting happens and the consequences..."

Killing Eve is available to watch on BBC iPlayer. The second series is expected to air in 2019.
