Kilmarnock have been handed the toughest possible opening fixture as they'll face Celtic in Glasgow on Sunday, August 4 to start their 2024/25 SPFL Premiership season.

The game will be shown live on Sky TV with a 4.30pm kick-off and falls just three days after their Europa League second qualifying round clash in Belgium against Cercle Brugge.

Derek McInnes' side then host St Johnstone on Saturday, August 10 (3pm) in their first home league fixture of the new season before away trips to Aberdeen (August 24) and a home clash against Hibs (August 31) round out the opening month.

Fixtures are subject to change depending on the club's involvement in European football - any league games scheduled for a Saturday would be pushed back a day if Killie are in continental action on a Thursday night beforehand.

The Rugby Park club have been handed a favourable festive period with both Aberdeen and Ross County travelling down to Ayrshire. The Dons are the Boxing Day opposition, with County visiting on January 5 - three days after St Mirren make the short journey to Kilmarnock.

The pre-split fixtures end as they begin - with a trip to Celtic. That game is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 while the season is set to end on the weekend of May 17 and 18.
