Kim Kardashian addresses Pete Davidson split and expresses ‘guilt’ over their romance: ‘He went through a lot’

Kim Kardashian has addressed her split from Pete Davidson, admitting she felt a lot of “guilt” over their relationship in the season three premiere of The Kardashians.

The 42-year-old began dating the comedian, 29, in November 2021 after meeting on Saturday Night Live when she hosted the American skit-show.

During the course of the nine-month romance, they attended the Met Gala together, Davidson appeared on her family’s Disney Plus series and shared several candid social media posts together.

However, their relationship was also targeted by Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kanye West, who shared his anger over their bond in shocking Instagram posts and even one of his music videos.

Discussing their split on their reality show, the SKIMS founder told Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick that they had mutually agreed to end things.

She shared: “Breakups are just not my thing. We’d been having talks and talks, we’d been talking about it, so it was both of just communicating really well about it.

“It’s a long time, I don’t have random hook-ups and relationships. There was a lot of guilt. He went through a lot because of my relationship.”

In a confessional interview, Kardashian insisted that she was not ready to date again and said that she would “wait” for the right person to come into her life.

She shared: “I’m single and I’m not ready to mingle, and that’s okay.

“I go back and forth in my feelings sometimes, like who is ever going to want to date me? I have four kids. I’m in my forties. Who is going to want to deal with the drams?

“But my person will be like, ‘F**k all that, it’s going to be hard but we’re together and we’re going to do this.’ So, I’m just waiting for that person.”

In the same episode, viewers watched as Kardashian broke down in tears while discussing the impact West’s behaviour has had on her since their divorce.

The TV star, who split from the rapper in February 2021, told her mother Kris Jenner that she's “exhausted” by his behavior and accused him of starting a rumour that she cheated on him with Drake during their six-year marriage.

She claimed: “He accused me of that publicly. So, the person that's supposed to protect me the most publicly would accuse me of having an affair throughout our whole marriage.

“I really can't wrap my head around how he thinks he is a protector.”

Viewers also saw Kardashian get emotional while speaking about how West “looks down on [her]” for her infamous 2007 sex tape and “brings it up” whenever he can in media.

She shared: “All of his shenanigans [are] going to be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be.”
