Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have 'hired a surrogate' to carry their third child

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly hired a surrogate to carry their third child.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has been advised by her doctors that the trauma of a third pregnancy may be too much for her body to handle.

Following serious complications during her previous two pregnancies, Kim has been warned that a third may be potentially life-threatening.

People Magazine and E! News, citing unidentified sources, said the couple had hired a surrogate, and TMZ said they had agreed to pay the surrogate more than $113,000 to carry a child.

It is not known if the surrogate is already pregnant.

‘Kim and Kanye will use a surrogate to carry their third baby. They are both very excited to give their kids a sibling,’ a source told People.

Kim has spoken often about her fertility issues.

In 2015 she admitted to E! News: ‘Every medical issue that you could probably have, I feel like I get, and I worry so much about it.’

And though she didn’t ‘think it was possible’ to get pregnant a second time, she admitted she had a ‘miserable’ time carrying son, Saint.

‘That’s my experience and I’m not gonna pretend that it’s not.

‘I just don’t think pregnancy and me really agree with each other,’ she added.

In an April episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim spoke to sister Kourtney about her surrogacy plans.

‘I’m definitely leaning more towards I want to try,’ she said.

‘After talking to Kanye, I think I always knew that surrogacy was an option, but I didn’t think it was that realistic of an option, and now I feel like that’s my reality.

‘I feel like surrogacy really is the only other option for me.’
