Kim Kardashian explains Photoshop fail and 'six toes' in recent Instagram picture

Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner’s latest picture on Instagram went viral this week, but for all the wrong reasons. The photograph is for the sisters' KKW fragrances collaboration but features one uncanny detail: an extra toe on both siblings' feet. But after being mocked for a “Photoshop fail”, Kim has responded.

The photo was first posted on Tuesday on Kim Kardashian’s official Instagram page, where it has since racked up 3.3 million likes and thousands of comments. The image features both Kim and Kylie wearing matching one-legged bodysuits and holding a KKW perfume bottle.

Unfortunately for Kim, many of the comments centred on the pair’s extra toe.

“Am I tripping or does Kim have 6 toes? Someone explain, I’m so confused! I counted so many times,” one user wrote.

“6 toes sis ????” another asked.

“Kim hunny you got six toes,” one user helpfully pointed out.

Since then, a representative for Kim Kardashian explained what exactly was going on in a statement to Page Six. Kim’s team revealed “the confusing illusion is the result not of Photoshop, but of the sideways angle of her foot”.

This is not the first time that Kim and her KKW Beauty campaign has been called out by fans for apparent photoshopping, as her campaign for her KKW Beauty Matte Smoke and Matte Cocoa Collection also drew heat. On August 5, she posted a photo of herself to Instagram looking almost unrecognisable to many of her fans.

“Am I the only one who saw this and thought it was a different person? Like this don't look like Kim at alllll,” one wrote.

“Doesn't even look like her. More like Toni Braxton,” one user wrote.

“I thought this was Toni Braxton!” another wrote.

Kim's rep told Page Six that "she wasn't planning to respond to the comments."
