King Charles has ‘four word response’ as Prince Harry asks to meet
As Prince Harry returns to the UK in the coming days, sources have claimed that he’s requested to meet with his father King Charles during his visit as an olive branch gesture. The Duke of Sussex is due to attend a special service at St. Paul's Cathedral to celebrate 10 years of the Invictus Games.
Harry founded the sports competition for ex-servicepeople back in 2014. According to reports no other senior royals will be attending the landmark anniversary event with the prince. But they claim that the Duke has reached out to his father asking him to meet whilst he is in the country.
The last time Harry met with Charles was shortly after the monarch had been diagnosed with cancer and had begun regular treatment, the Mirror reports. Due to the last-minute nature of the visit, Charles was only able to see his younger son in London for less than an hour before he headed back to Sandringham to rest.

Sources claim that when Prince Harry contacted his father and asked for a meeting, King Charles had a simple four-word response to the request, that he would definitely do so 'if he is able'. "Harry has kept in regular contact with his father on several occasions and made no secret of his desire to see him when he can," a source has said. "He has been especially concerned about him and hopes the King will be well and able to see him as planned."
After beginning his cancer treatment, Charles was initial advised by his medical team to pause any ‘public-facing engagements’, although the King was able to carry on with business of state behind closed doors. But in a boost for the Royal Family King Charles' doctors have recently revised this advice, and said he can conduct some front-facing engagements because they are "sufficiently pleased with the progress made so far" by the monarch.
Whilst Charles won't be back to full steam and any engagements scheduled will "remain subject to doctors' advice" - per a palace spokesperson - his diary for the week ahead is already quite full. However, a royal source has made it clear that King Charles fully intends to fit Harry in, despite his packed schedule.
Charles' diary is being managed on a case-by-case basis, and with how well the monarch is feeling central to what he undertakes, but he and Harry have stayed in contact since they reunited in February and things have "remained positive" between them, a source has claimed.
