Two four-month-old kittens that were born outside with no owners are looking for their forever home.

Worthing Cat Welfare Trust, which is currently caring for the kittens, said the male, Alfie, has a cloudy eye with probably no eyesight.

This does not need treatment however should continue to be monitored.

They are described as being "usual crazy kittens" who love playing.

A spokesman for Worthing Cat Welfare Trust said: "Four-month-old Alfie (black, male) and April (tabby, female) were born outside so missed that important early socialising with humans.

"However, they are coming on really well and will need a calm home where someone can continue socialising and bringing them round.

"They are usual crazy kittens, full of play, rough and tumble and getting into everything.

"Alfie and April could live with older children as the only pets in the home."

Worthing Cat Welfare Trust was founded in 1995 by Iris Green and Sandra Collins to rescue kittens in need and find them permanent loving homes.

Sandra said: "At that time we had 40 cats in our care and the princely sum of £40.  We did car boot sales and any other fundraising that would help.

"We paid for cat food and vet bills ourselves. Carla Lane opened our first charity shop in Brighton Road, which proved to be very successful and started us out on the path to where we are today.

"We couldn’t have done any of it without our band of fosterers, volunteers and loyal supporters.

"We all kept each other going through the ups and downs and, through sheer hard work and determination, have become the successful charity that we are today."
