Kylie Jenner missed the AMAs because her dog went into labour

There was one celebrity who was notably missing from last night’s star-studded American Music Awards, with Kylie Jenner taking to social media to reveal the rather unique reason why she was forced to miss the do.

And we definitely don’t blame her for opting out of this one.

Writing on Twitter last night, the 19-year-old star explained that her Italian greyhound, Bambi, had just had puppies.

How exciting!

She wrote to her millions of followers: “For those asking I was planning on going to AMA this year but Bambi went into labor so I’m here taking care of puppies [sic]”.

The star went on to add that she had no intention of selling Bambi’s babies as she never wanted to breed her pets.

Replying to one fan who asked if she’d known that Bambi was pregnant, Kylie wrote: “Yes I knew but I just wasn’t planning on breeding my dogs. It only takes one time people lol”.

Others asked if she was going to keep the pups and what she was going to name them, with the teen replying: “Yes they r so cute this has been an amazing experience.

“No names yet! I’m trying to learn their personalities [sic]”.

She went on to clarify that Bambi had given birth to two puppies and that her other dog, Norman, is the dad, sharing photos and videos of the pups over on her Snapchat channel.

Huge congratulations to Bambi and Norman – and we definitely can’t blame Kylie for choosing to spend the evening cuddling two newborn puppies instead of attending a glitzy showbiz event!
