When Matthew Williams debuted his first collection for Givenchy back in October 2020, he did so with a little help from a handful of his incredibly famous friends.

Kim Kardashian took to Instagram in a thong-exposing scoop-back black dress, along with the Jenner sisters, Julianne Moore, Laura Dern and Kaia Gerber, who all posted images of themselves wearing looks from the spring/ summer 2021 collection.

And yesterday, in the hours before Williams revealed his second womenswear offering for the French house, a bevvy of famous faces once again took to the ‘gram rocking Givenchy’s latest.

Kim Kardashian and the Jenner sisters once again turned out in support. Kim sported a figure-hugging olive green jersey maxi dress featuring the Givenchy logo and crystal-embellishment around the neckline with a matching olive satin and diamante-fringed bag.

Kylie Jenner meanwhile wore a baby pink logo-monogrammed mini dress with matching baby pink leather over-the-knee stomper boots, and Kendall Jenner opted for a badass black leather biker ensemble consisting of moto jacket, chaps and black zip-front hot pants and black bandeau bra.

Bella Hadid meanwhile, who walked in Williams’ first ever runway presentation for the house, posted an image of herself post-show, carrying an angular black handbag with oversized silver chain from the designer’s autumn 2021 collection.

Proving that Williams’ Givenchy works across all age groups and aesthetics, Kate Moss, Anne Hathaway and Laura Dern also showed their support: Kate Moss in a leather mini, Dern wearing a black jersey cut-out midi dress and Hathaway wearing an uncharacteristically punky stud-embellished formal coat.

Perhaps the most surprising Givenchy girl however was Venus Williams, who ditched the whites in favour of a black see-through mesh top, peak-shouldered black overcoat and Givenchy padlock necklace.

“I am passionate about fashion, style and the arts,” said Williams in her caption. “But...I have spent my whole life running after yellow balls and sweating… But we are all more than what meets the eye and we are all allowed to be who we want… Today I’m not sweating (as much 😂) and this is what I am wearing to watch the Givenchy fashion show. Be all you can be in all your versions of you.”

Well said Venus, well said.
