Coronation Street's Kym Marsh has a poignant message to parents who have experienced baby loss.

The actress and Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas lost their own baby son Archie back in 2009,and she later dedicated her British Soap Award to her boy after dramatising the issue on Corrie.

Having just commemorated Baby Loss Awareness Week, Kym wrote movingly in her OK! Magazine column about attending a Wave Of Light ceremony. where parents lit candles for their lost children.

"We lit a candle for Archie – we always think about him anyway, but it was a more intense moment and obviously there were a few tears," she recalled.

Kym also encouraged those parents who've been through to trauma to talk about their experiences, having bonded with co-star Jane Danson about the loss of her own baby.

"Jane Danson said last week that she suffered for not speaking out when she lost her child, but it's never too late to talk," Kym wrote. "When we were involved in the storyline where Michelle lost the baby, it brought back some memories for Jane too.

"Although Jane lost her baby at a different time to me, the message we're trying to give out is it doesn't matter what gestation you've lost a child, you've still lost a child.

"From the minute you find out you're pregnant, that's your baby. It doesn't matter what science says, you've made some plans already."
