Kym Marsh told 'your dad would be so proud' as she issues 'I'm back' announcement

Kym Marsh has been flooded with support and told "your dad would be so proud". The BBC Strictly Come Dancing star and former ITV Coronation Street actress, who shot to fame with Hear'Say, is set to return to Waterloo Road.

"Back on set @waterlooroad today!!! Missed the team and was gorgeous to see my girl @mandyknightmua who always manages to bring Nicky Walters to life…..No matter how tired I may be! From Cruella to Nicky…….. who am I these days.... marshy’sback #Nicky #setlife," Kym wrote.

Replying to the Morning Live star, a fan said: "Kym you’re the biggest worker in the room. Slaying it queen." A second Instagram user commented: "Gorgeous." And a third wrote: "Looking Beautiful Kym." Another replied: "Absolutely Gorgeous."

And another said: "Yay! Your Dad would be so proud! I’ll be thinking of you on Sunday. The firsts are always the hardest." It comes after Kym said that her beloved dad Dave Marsh, who died in January after being diagnosed with prostate cancer, would have "loved" his daughter's latest role.

Speaking previously, Kym said: "The sad part is that he won't be around to see it but he would have loved it, he would have been so thrilled to see me play this part but it has come at a good time, give me a bit of a lift and something to get my head into and really look forward to."

Kym revealed earlier this year that she's going to be returning to the stage in the new 101 Dalmatians the Musical in which she'll play the Disney villain Cruella De Vil. Announcing the news on BBC's Morning Live in April, Kym said: "I am about to go off on tour and play Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians. I am so excited, it's really funny because everyone that knows me, including you, would say 'Kym's such a dog lover' so it's weird because obviously I have to pretend that I don't like the dogs.

"And the family are all excited, because obviously it's a very family show, if you're going to come to the theatre you can bring the kids, there's something for everyone."
