Lady Gaga has split from fiancé Christian Carino—here's what we know

After announcing their engagement this past October, it appears as though Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Christian Carino, are going their separate ways. Gaga’s rep confirmed the news in a statement to People on Tuesday, February 19th, and an unnamed source told the magazine, “It just didn’t work out. Relationships sometimes end. There’s no long dramatic story.”

Gaga, 32, and Carino, 50 (who is a talent agent at Creative Artist Agency), reportedly began dating in January 2017. However, rumors of a potential split began circulating earlier this month when Gaga was seen at the 2019 Grammys without her engagement ring. Fans also noticed that the pop star posted a photo of her new A Star Is Born-inspired tattoo on Valentine’s Day instead of a post about her beau.

Gaga was previously engaged to actor Taylor Kinney (they dated for five years) and reportedly began her romance with Carino shortly after their breakup. At the time, a source told People, “She wasn’t expecting to find love with Christian so quickly, but things just became serious very fast. Christian is a good, grounding force and understands her career.”

We’re hoping both Gaga and Carino are doing okay today. Breakups suck—no matter who you are.
