The Apple TV+ dramedy stars Desperate Housewives alum Longoria as Gala, an affluent New Yorker whose life is completely uprooted when she discovers that her husband has debts that need repaying… urgently. The moment Gala learns about those financial obligations unfolds in the video above, in which she mistakes the heavies sent to scare her for some caterers.
The men waste no time relaying their message: Either she pays her husband’s $15 million (!) bill, or her mother and daughter are in severe danger.
Per the official logline: “With dangerous criminals searching for her family and now vanished husband, Gala is forced to leave the city with her aging mother Julia (Carmen Maura) and teenage daughter Kate (Victoria Bazúa) to her mother’s hometown in northern Spain — a place that Julia fled 50 years ago — to start life anew and hope their identities remain hidden. But gossip in the charming wine town quickly spreads, unraveling their deepest family secrets and truths.”
Santiago Cabrera (Big Little Lies, Star Trek: Picard) also stars.
The series premieres with two episodes on Wednesday, June 26. Single episode will follow weekly on Wednesdays until the July 24 finale.
