Las Vegas Elementary School Kids Erupt as Teacher Says Mask Mandate Lifted

A classroom of elementary school students erupted into cheers in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 10, after their teacher announced they would no longer have to wear masks to school.

Footage by elementary teacher Melissa Gravatt shows the children at John W Bonner Elementary School cheering, screaming and dancing as they hear the news.

On Thursday, Nevada governor Steve Sisolak, a Democrat, announced the state would lift its mask mandate effective immediately. Federally, masks are still mandated in airports as well as on planes, public buses and school buses. Credit: Melissa Gravatt via Storyful
