Latest Spring Snow on Record Showers Western Kentucky

The National Weather service reported “the latest observed snowfall” in Paducah, Kentucky’s recorded climate history on April 20.

Paducah saw half an inch of snow on Tuesday evening, breaking a record held since 1937, the NWS said.

The office issued a “freeze warning” for the area earlier on Tuesday, cautioning that unprotected vegetation would be damaged or killed, and outdoor plumbing at risk. Credit: NWS Paducah, KY via Storyful
