Laura Whitmore shares photos of Iain Stirling sneaking into Love Island villa to mark his birthday

Laura Whitmore gave Love Island fans an insight into what goes on behind the scenes of the hit dating show as she shared a sweet birthday tribute to boyfriend Iain Stirling.

Whitmore, who replaced Caroline Flack as Love Island’s presenter this month, has been in a relationship with Stirling, who is best known for providing the show’s acerbic voiceover, since 2017.

To mark Stirling’s 32nd birthday, the TV star posted a string of candid photos of her partner making his way into the garden of the Love Island villa while she prepared to film recoupling scenes for the show.

The pair eventually reunited for a kiss, with the final snap showing Whitmore smiling as they made their way down a path.

“When bae sneaks into your office to say hello!” she wrote alongside the photos, adding: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the best person I know @iaindoesjokes.”

Whitmore is currently dividing her time between Cape Town, South Africa, where the show is filmed, and London, where spin-off series Aftersun and her other work commitments are based.

She most recently headed into the villa for scenes which aired during last night’s (January 26) episode, when she informed the contestants that Sophie Piper and Connor Durman had been voted the least popular couple by the public - and that one of them would now be up for eviction.

The presenter, 34, recently addressed criticism on Twitter over her Love Island travel arrangements, after some social media users questioned the environmental implications of flying back and forth between South Africa and the UK.

Replying directly to one critical message, Whitmore wrote: “Love Island Aftersun is filmed in London - as all the guests are based in the UK.

“I’m only in Cape Town for the finale, public voting etc. And I’m an advocate of offsetting carbon footprint you’ll notice on my Twitter.”
