Lauren Goodger Is Happier Than Ever With Jake McLean – And They Plan To Have Children Before They Get Married

Anyone would have thought that former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger and boyfriend Jake McLean were set to live by Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” lyrics following a bitter break-up in December 2013…

…BUT it seems that the couple’s explosive rows and public exchange of insults have been brushed under the carpet, as the loved up pair proved that absence really does make the heart grow fonder when they decided to change their relationship statuses from ‘single’ this spring.

The 28-year old reality star told the Mail Online: “We know each other quite well now. We’ve definitely grown up and matured. We’re in a totally different place.”

“Sometimes you do feel like you need a little break to realise you want to be with each other. It can be healthy. You come back and do it properly, and that’s what we’ve done,” she added, confirming their decision.

Just to make the relationship a little bit more permanent this time around, Lauren decided to get Jake’s name inked on her wrist.

And what did Jake think of the tattoo?

“When I saw Lauren’s tattoo, I thought – that’s about time! I got mine done a year and a half ago,” he explained.

Well, she certainly doesn’t have commitment issues… and there are more plans on the cards yet! The bubbly brunette thinks that marriage and children are definitely in the couple’s future.

“I can’t wait for marriage and everything, it’s just normal life with us. I’m definitely going to get married, have kids, they’re all the things I’m looking forward to,” she said positively.

If you’re asking yourself what the couple are going to do next, Lauren’s beau cleared that up: “Our plan is still to have kids first and then think about the wedding,” he told OK! Magazine.

Lauren also admitted that she was in no rush to saunter down the aisle yet, adding: “Having children is our priority over marriage. It’s quite old fashioned to think you have to get married first.”

Though the next step would probably be to move in together, the down-to-Earth lad agreed, “I’ve got my place and Lauren has hers – but we spend the majority of our time at Lauren’s at the moment.”

“I think early next year is when we’ll start looking. Or maybe Lauren will buy me a house for Christmas!”

Good luck wrapping that one up, Loz!
