Yahoo News Lee Ryan wants Louisa Lytton as EastEnders girlfriend
Former EastEnders star Louisa Lytton has revealed that Lee Ryan wants her character Ruby Allen to return as his girlfriend.
The actress played the daughter of gangster Johnny on the BBC soap for nearly two years between 2005 and 2006, though she's now made a pitch to return to the action.
"I could come back (to EastEnders)," she said on Saturday Kitchen. "I'd have no idea what they'd say about where my character has been. There's always room to go back."
However, of Lee's entry to the soap, she revealed: "Lee text me a year ago now saying, 'I'm in talks with EastEnders, what do you think?' I said, 'Yeah, it'd be great for you.'
"And yeah, he did mention about bringing my character back as his girlfriend."
Earlier this month, Louisa teased a possible return for Ruby, telling Lorraine: "I'm not dead. I left in the back of a taxi. I could go back, but there are no family members so that could be an issue."
Well, we're sure Lee is as good an excuse as any.
The former Blue singer was announced to be joining the soap last week as a mysterious character called 'Woody' Woodward.
His character is set to cause a load of trouble when he turns up in Albert Square, though fans were rather divided by the news.
It also turns out that Lee had previously been offered a role on the show when he was a teenager, but was forced to turn it down due to Blue.
