Leeds United, Christmas and West Brom's Midlands derbies which will have to do
West Brom might not have what they consider to be a local derby in the forthcoming campaign, but they do have plenty of matches to look forward to after the culmination at the end of last season returned certain clubs to the Championship from above and below.
Albion will open with the trip to Queens Park Rangers on 10 August, for what is a 12:30pm kick off, and then they welcome Leeds United to The Hawthorns in their first home game of the new campaign. While there mightn't be any proper derbies with local West Midlands rivals for supporters to look forward to/dread/delete as applicable, they will still have a number of interesting fixtures to pencil into their calendars.
Portsmouth, Derby County and Oxford United have all been promoted, while the three sides who won promotion despite Albion's efforts in 2023 have all been immediately relegated - Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton Town will be back playing in the Championship. Here are the games to look out for...
