Legendary former Hull City manager Steve Bruce hasn't ruled out a sensational return to management at the age of 63 as he eyes another job.

Bruce, who famously guided City to the FA Cup final almost a decade ago after taking the club back into the Premier League, hasn't worked in day-to-day management since leaving the Tigers' Championship rivals West Brom after an eight-month spell in charge in October 2022.

The experienced ex-Tigers boss has taken charge of more than 1,000 games as a manager throughout a terrific career which saw him take on jobs at Sunderland, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Birmingham City and the Albion, as well as both Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United.

After more than a year out of work, Bruce says the break has done him the power of good and that he's ready for another opportunity, should one be forthcoming.

"For a long, long time, I thought this is just what I needed. I never really had a break," the former Manchester United defender told talkSPORT. "Unfortunately, now I think I am getting under my good lady's feet!

"And I am looking to try and do something, whether that is back in management or go back to work in some sort of capacity, I am not quite too sure. But we will see, we'll see if the phone rings over the summer. But certainly, I'd like to try and do something."
