Leicester City confirm addition to friendly fixtures after Steve Cooper arrival

Leicester City fans will be given the first chance to get an in-person look at Steve Cooper’s side when they face Shrewsbury Town in a pre-season friendly next month.

The Foxes will tackle Paul Hurst's side at the Croud Meadow on Tuesday July 23 (kick-off 7:45pm BST).

The game will take place before an intensive pre-season training camp for the new manager and his team in Europe.

It comes as the club gears up for the Premier League curtain-raiser against Tottenham Hotspur at King Power Stadium on Monday August 19.

The clash against the Shrews is a key part of those preparations. Leicester say full ticket details for supporters wishing to attend, as well as details of how to follow the game on Club channels, will be confirmed on the club's website.
