Leicester Square to host free family film screenings this summer

Leicester Square will host free family film screenings as part of a new summer programme.

The tourist hotspot will accomodate up to 750 viewers at a time on the weekends of August 4-5 and August 11-12.

The new pop-up outdoor screen will show such films as the Lego Movie, Finding Nemo and the Incredibles between 10.30am to 8pm.

Families will also be entertained throughout the day, with activities and quizzes taking place between screenings.

Groups that attend the events will also be entitled to 2-for-1 tickets to the National Portrait Gallery’s Michael Jackson On The Wall exhibition, as well as special offers at the LEGO store.

Leicester Square is one of the numberous London venues hosting outdoor film screenings this summer.

Groups like Rooftop film club run screenings at Queen of Hoxton, the Bussey Building and Stratford's Roof East, while Somerset House are also putting on film event this summer.
