Let's Rock: The Retro Festival's line up, banned items, travel info and car parking

Let’s Rock: The Retro Festival returns to Leeds this weekend and we have everything you need to know about the big Temple Newsam party.

Lots of 1980s music legends will be performing at the event. Let’s Rock will be happening at Temple Newsam on Saturday, June 22.

Big names performing include UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Level 42, Go West and China Crisis among other major acts. You can buy tickets for the retro festivities here.

Line up

As we mentioned, some major acts from the 1980s will be forming the line up for the 2024 instalment of Let’s Rock. When we know the set times, we will bring you them but, for now, here’s the full bill:

For getting around the grounds, you’ll want to have the site map and, as if by magic, we have supplied it for you below. The gates for the event open at 11am.

The first performers will take to the stage at midday with the fun expected to conclude by 10.30pm.

Banned items

Like any major event, organisers have a list of banned items which you are not allowed to bring to the site. This is to ensure the events can run safely for those attending. Items banned include:

  • Alcohol - Rest assured, there are bars running on-site

  • Glass

  • Sharp objects

  • Drugs

You are able to bring water and soft drinks, no bigger than 500ml, into the festival arena. Upon arrival, there will be security checks at the entrances.

Travel

For those coming back by rail, the nearest station is Leeds Train Station. Once in Leeds city centre, here’s how you can get to Let’s Rock Leeds 2024:

Bus

A bus service will run to and from the event. You can find the stop in Sovereign Street - the postcode is LS1 4DA.

  • Outbound - Sovereign Street services will run from 9.30am until 3pm - operating every 10 minutes

  • Return - Temple Newsam to Sovereign Street - rvices will run between 6.30pm and 11.30pm

Car park

Unlike many big music events, car parking for Let’s Rock is listed as free, on their website, with spaces being located near to the site.
