I write belatedly, but nevertheless sincerely, to congratulate and thank the team at Laverstock Care Home for the diligence and caring commitment they demonstrated in ensuring the smooth evacuation of over 70 residents from Laverstock Care Home to Parkwood Health and Fitness Club on the 17th April.

With a majority of the residents needing one-to-one support/assistance, they managed to safely move everyone some distance along the road to the designated evacuation point. It was a true and real demonstration of teamwork and thoughtful care, my Mother is one of the residents, and I understand that she actually managed to sleep through most of it showing how restful she was despite it being a rather frightening experience.

Whilst this was a worrying incident the team should be praised on how they reacted; very well done and a huge thank you goes to all those involved on the 17th April.
