Lewis Capaldi hints at music comeback after year-long hiatus

Scots star Lewis Capaldi has been keeping a low profile since declaring a break from music to concentrate on his mental health last year. However, in what could be a beacon of hope for his loyal fans, the BRIT award-winning artist, aged 27, has hinted at a major return to the music scene.

The 'Someone You Loved' chart-topper was recently spotted spending time in his home studio with fellow British musician Dan D'Lion, suggesting he may be dipping his toes back into the musical waters. A photo obtained by The Sun shows Lewis cheerfully playing his acoustic guitar at home, reports the Mirror.

Touching on his potential comeback, an insider revealed to the outlet: "Lewis is doing really well, so much has changed in the past year. He has been looking after himself and getting lots of help and there's been a sea change in how he's feeling."

"Whilst there's no immediate plan for a comeback, it's a good sign that he's hanging out with pals and mulling over tunes again. At one point, it seemed uncertain if he'd ever want to or be able to make a comeback. So this is definitely positive news."

Last June, after a poignant performance at Glastonbury where he had difficulty singing his tracks, saying he was "annoyed with myself", Lewis announced his intention to take a break to focus on "getting my mental and physical health in order". This followed the roaring success of his second album 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent', which soared to the top of the charts.

The album boasted chart-topping hits such as 'Forget Me', 'Pointless', and 'Wish You The Best'. Following that period, Lewis decided to take a step back from the limelight. On New Year's Eve, he reached out to his fans via Instagram with a heartfelt update about his "marked improvement" in health and hinted at a deluxe version of his album.

He shared at the time: "I want to make absolutely sure I'm 100 per cent before getting back out there again properly for more shows and doing what I love more than anything." His dedication to self-care in the face of mental health challenges has been nothing short of admirable, showing just how much strength it takes to navigate the music industry's choppy waters.
