West Lothian star Lewis Capaldi declared a break from the limelight in 2023 to concentrate on his mental health but he could be set to make a return.

The 'Someone You Loved' chart-topper was recently spotted spending time in his home studio with fellow British musician Dan D'Lion, suggesting he may be dipping his toes back into the musical waters, reports The Daily Record.

The Mirror previously reported that a photo obtained by The Sun shows the 27-year-old cheerfully playing his acoustic guitar at home.

Touching on his potential comeback, an insider revealed to the outlet: "Lewis is doing really well, so much has changed in the past year. He has been looking after himself and getting lots of help and there's been a sea change in how he's feeling.

"While there's no immediate plan for a comeback, it's a good sign that he's hanging out with pals and mulling over tunes again. At one point, it seemed uncertain if he'd ever want to or be able to make a comeback. So this is definitely positive news."

Last June, after performing at Glastonbury where he had difficulty singing his tracks, saying he was "annoyed with myself", Lewis announced his intention to take a break to focus on "getting my mental and physical health in order". This followed the roaring success of his second album 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent', which soared to the top of the charts.

On New Year's Eve, he reached out to his fans via Instagram with a heartfelt update about his "marked improvement" in health and hinted at a deluxe version of his album.

He shared at the time: "I want to make absolutely sure I'm 100 per cent before getting back out there again properly for more shows and doing what I love more than anything."
