Lightning Flashes in Lake Charles as Storms Hit Louisiana

Weather warnings were in effect for parts of Louisiana as a severe storm system brought wind, hail, and rain to the region on Wednesday morning, April 10.

The National Weather Service (NWS) warned the “destructive” storm was carrying 80 mph winds and pea-sized hail as it moved across southwest Louisiana.

Footage taken by Jeremy Babineaux shows lightning and wind-driven rain lashing Lake Charles on Wednesday morning.
