Lights, Cara, Action: Delevingne Wants To Direct Like Film Idol Angelina Jolie

Cara Delevingne has been in talks to direct her first Hollywood movie in the US – because the model idolises Angelina Jolie so much.

Cara, 23, has already acted in films including Paper Town and The Face Of An Angel and this year she will appear in Suicide Squad.

Now she wants to get behind the camera.

She said: “I want to emulate actresses like Meryl Streep, Charlize Theron and Jolie.

“Especially Jolie, she is really great. She has gone through an amazing transformation, from actress to courageous filmmaker. She’s willing to tackle uncomfortable subjects. I want to try everything: directing, producing, acting.”

Cara is reportedly going to start with a short film before trying a feature.

Angelina, 40, is currently shooting her latest directorial effort in Cambodia about the Khmer Rouge’s bloody regime, First They Killed My Father.

But Cara won’t be ditching her acting and also wants to focus on playing ugly women.

She added: “I want to play strong women, but then sometimes I want to play really broken types and ugly monsters.”

She’s used to that on social media already…
