What did you miss?

Linda Robson has shared how grateful she was for her Loose Women co-stars' support during her mental breakdown.

The Birds of a Feather star is a regular panellist on the ITV daytime chat show, and told how when she suffered with mental health problems it was her fellow stars who stepped up to help her.

Robson explained how Stacey Solomon had helped her get to a rehab centre and the ways in which the other women supported her while she recovered.

Linda Robson has been open about her past struggles with depression and alcoholism, and in an appearance on Tuesday's This Morning she told hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary how her Loose Women co-stars had been a huge support in her recovery.

TV star Robson's mental health struggles had begun in 2018 and she explained: "A couple of people in my family had mental health problems and I was always the one looking after them, then all of a sudden the tables turned and they had to look after me.

"It all started in Ibiza, we used to go to a bootcamp, me and the Loose Women every summer. Then one year when I went I just found it really hard to get through the day. I started drinking, I'd never drunk before. Drinking anything to black out."

Robson shared that she had been given some medication that she had reacted badly to, leaving her in a worse state: "My family were on suicide watch. Honestly, it was so bad. You've (Alison Hammond) known me for a long time and I've always been alright."

She added: "There was two years where I weren't on Loose Women and then I went back to Loose Women four years ago and everything's been fine, I'm off of all medication, I haven't drunk for four years."

Explaining how her Loose Women co-stars had helped her, she said: "They were all amazing. When I was off they'd ring my kids every day to see if I was ok, Janet (Street-Porter) and all the girls.

"But it was Stacey while we was in Ibiza that came home early with me, because I had a proper breakdown out there and I went straight to a rehab place. Then my kids and husband arrived and I was in there for quite a few months."

There have long been rumours of a feud amongst the Loose Women stars, fuelled by Saira Khan's comments after she left the show and reports that some cast members did not want to appear in the same episode.

However, in a Lorraine appearance last summer, Robson told stand-in host Ranvir Singh that she and her co-stars were close friends and the feud rumours were false.

She said: “We all get on really well, it’s really boring but we all get on really really well. We have all been working together a long time so we go to work with our best friends every day.”

This Morning airs on ITV at 12.30pm on weekdays.
