Vicky McClure shares 'Line Of Duty' lockdown reunion

Vicky McClure has revealed she has been catching up online with her Line Of Duty co-stars during lockdown.

The BBC police drama was forced to suspend filming of its sixth series in March due to the coronavirus outbreak.

McClure shared a picture on Instagram if herself having a video chat with co-stars Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar and the series creator Jed Mercurio.

She captioned the picture: “LOD in lockdown. Missing this lot x‬.”

McClure and Compston - who star as DS Kate Flemming and DS Steve Arnott in the hit drama - recently celebrated their 36th birthday on the same day.

McClure wrote: “I mean who better to share my birthday with than my partner in crime!!!!

@mrmartincompston. We were planning a party with us being together filming @bbclineofduty but we’ll have an even bigger one now when we get back to it!”

Filming was halted on the latest series of the show in March due to social distancing guidelines.

Line of Duty’s official Twitter account issued a statement saying: “In light of the spread of Covid-19, after much consideration, @worldprods are suspending filming of #LineofDuty S6 with the support of the BBC.”

Dunbar, 61, who plays Superintendent Ted Hastings to This Morning recently: “We were a month in, and we had to stop, we had to go away.

"I'm kind of worried to tell you the truth, about what's going to happen...because a lot of us are eating quite a lot.

"Vicky McClure is up in Nottingham and she's on Rich Tea, you know what I mean?

"Martin will keep himself trim no matter what happens, but me and Vicky have got to watch it."

Kelly Macdonald had joined the cast of the hit crime drama for the latest series.

The Hollywood star - who had her breakthrough role in Trainspotting - is playing Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Davidson, the latest police officer under investigation by anti-corruption unit AC-12.

The last series of Line Of Duty saw Stephen Graham star as DS John Corbett, an undercover police officer who was investigated by AC-12, and the identity of the elusive ‘H’ - the corrupt police officer and crime lord - again went undetected

Previous guest stars have included Thandie Newton, Keeley Hawes and Lennie James.
