“In upcoming months, Lithuania will send anti-drones, weapons, ammunition, provide military training and will continue inviting the allies to boost up their efforts too.”

Lithuania’s support to Ukraine now accounts for over 1.2% of its GDP, he said.

Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas announced on March 6 that his country was preparing a new military aid package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, adding that Lithuania plans to train 1,600 Ukrainian troops throughout 2023.

A month-long course on explosive ordnance clearance for members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine kicked off in Lithuania on March 21.
