Perrie Edwards is apparently gearing up to release solo music, becoming the latest Little Mix star to branch out on her own.

The singer – who found fame on X Factor along with the rest of the girl group – has been teasing solo work in recent weeks, sharing pictures that give fans a tantalising glimpse of what she’s been up to.

One, shared earlier this month, showed Edwards in a recording studio. “Singing my little heart out… music pending…” she told her fans. She has since followed it up with another post, this time a black and white image of her clad in lace tights and a furry jacket that had her followers asking: “Is this behind the scenes of a music video?”

It has now been 13 years since the Shout Out To My Ex singers were formed on the TV singing show, and they have a slew of hit singles and other accolades under their belts.

We have a look at what they have all been up to lately.

Perrie Edwards

As well as working on her solo music, Edwards has been branching out into the fashion world. In 2021, she launched fashion brand Disora and its first collection sold out fast. It’s also seen her try modelling, as Edwards joined in for some of the label’s campaign work.

The singer has also been busy in her personal life as in 2021 she and her partner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain welcomed a baby boy named Axel. She announced the news by sharing a snap of her new arrival on Instagram, writing: “Welcome to the world baby.”

Leigh-Anne Pinnock

Pinnock has also become a mum, welcoming twins with her footballer beau Andre Gray in August 2021, around the same time as her bandmate gave birth. The star has not shared the names or gender of her babies but it’s thought they are twin girls. Every now and then she does share a picture on Instagram showing her children but their faces are always hidden.

The singer had more to celebrate last summer when she and Gray tied the knot. The couple, who had been dating since 2016, exchanged vows at a ceremony in Jamaica.

Pinnock also has a solo music career and last year unveiled tracks such as My Love and Don’t Say Love.

Jade Thirlwall

Thirlwall signed a solo deal in 2022 amid the group’s hiatus and it’s thought her solo album will be released in 2024. She has also been songwriting and has made a few TV appearances on shows including RuPaul's Drag Race. In 2022 the star moved into acting, appearing in musical drama series Mood.

The singer has been in a relationship with Rizzle Kicks' Jordan Stephens for the last few years and the pair are often photographed out and about together. Last summer they were spotted at Pinnock’s wedding and in December, Stephens penned a sweet tribute to Thirlwall on her birthday.

“Happy birthday to this sensational woman,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “A beautiful soul inside and out. Kind, generous, curious and bold. If someone described me as being like Jade - I'd beam. Love you.”

Thirlwall has also branched out of showbiz, and in 2019 opened her own cocktail bar. Named Arbeia, it is in the star's hometown of South Shields.

Jesy Nelson

Nelson was originally part of Little Mix but she left in 2021, citing the toll on her mental health as the reason.

“The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard,” she said on Instagram at the time.

"I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy," she went on.

She went on to release a solo song, Boyz, and followed it up with Bad Thing last year.

Nelson also filmed documentary Odd One Out, in which she opened up about abuse from trolls and her struggles with body image.
