Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson is “loving life” as a singleton

Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has revealed she is “free, single and loving life” as she continues to move forward from her “horrendous” split from fiancé Jake Roche last year.

Jesy, who split from the Rixton singer in November, admitted that she has “learned a lot about” herself following the breakup, but is now “loving” the single life.

She told the Sunday People: “I’m free, single and loving life. I’d really like to experience flirting with an American guy. That would be nice…

“I’ve found a lot of independence. I think you learn a lot about yourself when you’re single.”

The girl group – which also includes Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – have recently joined US singer Ariana Grande on her Dangerous Woman tour for one of the biggest pop-power collaborations ever.

And with Nashville scheduled for February 14, bandmate Jade supported the idea of a transatlantic romance, adding: “You’re in different states, so if it doesn’t go your way, you’re like, ‘Oh well, I’ll never see you again.’”

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Jesy told a radio station that she is looking for a “weird, fun, sassy and spontaneous” man.

Speaking of her potential suitor, she added: “I do love a tat and someone who looks naughty – preferably a boxer. I’m really fussy.”

The good news is, if no one ticks all of the boxes on Jesy’s ‘ideal companion’ checklist in Tennessee’s capital, Little Mix still have a further 26 dates lined up stateside.
