Although the group has reassured fans their new arrivals won't put a stop to the Little Mix tour, Edwards, 27, admitted she had panicked over how to commit to their busy schedule - but then found out her baby would be one of three due around the same time.
Describing the tearful call where they learned each other's happy news, Edwards said in a TikTok interview: “We were on a work Zoom and we were chatting about things that were coming up in our schedule because in Little Mix we are blocked out two years in advance.
“I was thinking, I won’t be able to do that.
“I messaged my manager and she called me and said, ‘You’re pregnant.'
"I was like, ‘How do you know? And she said, ‘Because I am pregnant.’ Then she said: ‘Can I add someone to the call?’
“I just heard this voice that said: ‘Perrie! You too!’ And then we just cried our eyes out. What timing! It wasn’t planned.”
Edwards is expecting her baby with Liverpool footballer boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while Pinnock, 29, is due with fiance Andre Gray, who plays for Watford.
The singers also shared what their pregnancy cravings had been.
Pinnock said: “Prawn sandwiches but the M&S kind, and Frazzles."
Edwards added: “Mine is Toxic waste, you know, the barrel. All I wanted was sour. But I loved it. Brain Lickers, Juicy Drop Pops – anything sour. That was when I was feeling really sick but I feel fine now.”
Little Mix made history this week by becoming the first all-female band to win Best British Group at the Brit Awards, where they thanked others who'd paved the way for them including Spice Girls, Girls Aloud, All Saints and Sugababes.
