The summer transfer window is open and Liverpool are now able to agree deals for new signings.

Arne Slot is officially the new head coach of the Reds and will be busy assessing his squad ahead of pre-season training next month. Liverpool will travel to the United States for friendly fixtures against Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United this summer.

With the transfer window officially open, Liverpool are now able to negotiate deals for new players. It remains to be seen, though, which players will be considered genuine targets for the Reds who now have Richard Hughes as their new sporting director.

Liverpool are continuing to be linked with several potential new signings ahead of the start of the next Premier League campaign. The ECHO takes a look at some of the latest rumours that are doing the rounds online and across social media.

According to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, Liverpool made an attempt to sign Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio. The Reds could be in the market for a goalkeeper once Caoimhin Kelleher's future has been determined.

The report states that Liverpool made an offer of €25 million (£21 million) to sign Di Gregorio. However, it has been stated that the attempt from the Reds proved unsuccessful due to the goal-stopper already agreeing to join Juventus this summer.

Liverpool currently have Alisson Becker as their No.1 goalkeeper. Third-choice Adrian could depart as a free agent, and if Kelleher leaves in search of first-team football then the Reds will almost certainly be in the market for a new goalkeeper.

Elsewhere, Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Juventus defender Dean Huijsen. According to Tutto Juve, the Reds have made an enquiry to the Serie A club about Huijsen's availability this summer.

The report claims that Liverpool are joined by Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund and Atalanta in showing an interest in Huijsen. However, Juventus are determined to keep hold of the centre-back but could accept an offer worth €30 million (£25 million).
