Liverpool FC fans were "thrilled" when Kostas Tsimikas arrived in "our garden" on Wednesday.

The city has been experiencing some warmer weather and Tsimikas turned up at Liverpool's contemporary arts centre the Bluecoat to soak up some sunshine. The now 27-year-old became only the second Greek player to sign for Liverpool back in 2020, following in the footsteps of Sotirios Kyrgiakos.

The left-back developed his reputation in his native country, winning three major honours with Olympiacos during his five-year stay. Two of his five seasons with the club were spent on loan at Esbjerg in Denmark and Willem II in the Netherlands, before he became a "Greek Scouser" and scored the winning penalty in the club’s FA Cup final win over Chelsea in May 2022.

In a new post on the Bluecoat's Instagram page, it seems a staff member snapped a photo with the Reds defender. The update was captioned: "We were so excited to have @tsimikas21 pay us a surprise visit today!

"He definitely picked the perfect day to enjoy the sunshine and relax in our garden."

The Bluecoat regularly hosts exciting events and exhibitions as well as offering a variety of products from Liverpool's independent shops, and has a café serving food and drinks.
