Yahoo News Liverpool FC striker Diogo Jota and Rute Cardoso make special family announcement
Liverpool FC striker Diogo Jota has revealed his partner, Rute Cardoso, is expecting their third child.
The 27-year-old is currently away on international duty as Portugal aim to win Euro 2024. The Portuguese got off to a winning start last night as they defeated Czechia 2 - 1.
Jota had a decisive impact from the bench as he arrived on the pitch when his side were trailing 1 - 0. Portugal equalised soon afterwards and Jota thought he had won it for his side when he put the ball in the net in the 87th minute.

However, VAR ruled the striker was marginally offside which cut his celebrations short. Before the goal was ruled out, Jota used his celebration to make a special family announcement.
The former Wolves player put the ball under his shirt to indicate Rute is pregnant with their third child. Jota has shared the snap on his Instagram account this morning and Rute has reposted it with her followers to confirm the happy news.
In Jota's post, he said: "Very important to start winning. Thank you all for your support." Although Jota's goal was ruled out, the Portuguese rallied to still take the three points as Francisco Conceição scored the winner in the dying moments of the game.
Jota will hope his performance was enough to start the next game as Portugal continue their Euros campaign against Turkey on Saturday.
