Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich is edging closer to an exit as the Germany international reportedly eyes a move to Liverpool.

According to Sky Sports Germany, the former RB Leipzig man could leave the Allianz Arena this summer as uncertainty surrounds his future at Vincent Kompany's side. Despite holding the captaincy in Bavaria, it has been suggested that the Bundesliga giants have no plans to extend his contract beyond 2025, which means they risk losing him on a free next summer.

Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha saw a January move fall through but interest reportedly remains in the Portuguese midfielder with a move said to be on the cards this summer. In the report, Sky Germany have said an exit is edging closer with the 29-year-old setting his sights on a move to the Premier League or La Liga.

Liverpool have been named as a possible destination as Kimmich reportedly 'only' wants a move to Anfield or Manchester City, Arsenal, Real Madrid or Barcelona. Florian Plettenberg tweeted: "As revealed and now confirmed again: Joshua #Kimmich could leave FC Bayern already this summer!

"Kimmich, captain and regular starter, can leave the club with a suitable offer. No Bayern plans about a contract extension beyond 2025. Vincent Kompany with other plans for central midfield. Joao Palhinha, still the desired target!

"A separation between Kimmich/Bayern is getting closer. Now or next year at the latest. Kimmich would be ready to go into the final year of his contract. He only wants to join Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid or Barcelona."

Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori has emerged as a possible transfer candidate for Liverpool this summer. The Athletic claimed that the Reds were among the host of clubs that admire the centre-back with Manchester United and Newcastle United also in pursuit.

Italian publication Tuttosport has thrown Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the mix and revealed the potential asking price from the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara club. After signing from Swiss giants FC Basel, a sell-on clause was included which entitled the club to a reported 40 per cent of the future sale after returning to Italy for £5million.

Bologna are reportedly looking for around £40million and sporting director Marco Di Vaio told Libero: "It is confirmation that Bologna is working well and doing the right things. It is not a surprise to us.

"We know Calafiori well and we have been following him for years. The European Championships will have a significant boost on his value but the intention is to keep all of our players."
