Liverpool are continuing to be linked with a move for several potential new signings this summer.

The transfer window does not open until later this month and yet the Reds are being credited as possible suitors for numerous players across Europe. Arne Slot is the new head coach of Liverpool and will be tasked with preparing the squad for the new season ahead.

Part of those preparations will be assessing the squad during pre-season and looking at what reinforcements may be needed via the transfer market. It remains to be seen what business Liverpool will conduct this summer, but if the rumours are to be believed it looks like it could be a busy few months at Anfield.

The latest speculation has claimed that Liverpool could be in the market for a new midfielder. Further reports are stating that a member of the Reds squad could be leaving Merseyside this summer.

According to TuttoJuve, Liverpool have stepped up their interest in signing Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram. The Reds have been linked with the France international ever since last summer and the rumours have continued to swirl for the last 12 months.

The report states that Liverpool have "entered negotiations" with Nice to sign Thuram this summer. It has been stated that the 23-year-old is valued by the Ligue 1 club at around €30 million (£25 million), with his contract set to expire in 2025.

Elsewhere, Wolfsburg are being credited with an interest in signing Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg.

News emerged this week that Liverpool are seeking around £20 million for Van den Berg to leave the club permanently this summer. The centre-back spent the season on loan at Mainz, where he appears to have caught the eye of Wolfsburg.

According to the Daily Mail, the German club are the "front runners" to complete a deal to sign Van den Berg on a permanent basis when the transfer window opens. It has been stated that Wolfsburg are targeting Van den Berg as a replacement for Maxence Lacroix who looks increasingly likely to leave the Bundesliga outfit this summer.
